Gabriel Dinda is the Founder of Writers Guild Kenya, a Centre for readers & writers working to encourage general reading and Writing culture in Kenya.
He has worked to publish 52 first-time authors and 12 functional book clubs in a period of 6 years. In 2018, he was awarded as the 1st Runner’s Up in the Writing and Research Category in Utumishi Bora Awards. In 2015, he was awarded the Top 25 Under 25 Leadership Award by KCA University and African Garage owing to the new energy and hope he has brought to the Writing scene in Kenya.
He is the author of Questions of my Youth (2019), Guide to Self-Publishing (2018), Youth Unemployment in Kenya, a Ticking Time Bomb(Co-authored,2016). He believes that reading in our families is one great way to bring joy & nurture thinkers at home. He is a Graduate Assistant at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and a student of Masters of Applied Philosophy and Ethics at Strathmore University.
