STRESS AND EXERCISE

By Wr. Cavin Odhiambo

Stress is the state of becoming worried and tired so that the affected is not able to be in a relaxed mood. This is the most harmful and dangerous state to be as it causes gradual death. The stressed –out type A personalities are at risk of high blood pressure and heart problems according to researchers. According to medical experts, stress does not only make us feel emotionally awful but also exacerbates just about any health condition one may think about. This condition is emotionally controlled.th

Below are some of the health conditions that are related to stress:

1: Heart Disease– As alleged by researchers, the stressed-out type A persons are at high risk of succumbing to high blood pressure and heart problems. I cannot best explain the reason for this. Stress directly increase blood flow and heart rate and causes release of cholesterol http://www.webmd.com/cholesterol-management/lowering-triglyceride-levels and triglycerides  http://www.webmd.com/cholesterol-management/lowering-triglyceride-levels into the blood stream http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/rm-quiz-blood-basics. There is a likelihood of stress being related to other problems as obesity;http://www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/video/obesity-risks and increased smoking in an attempt to reduce or eradicate it;http://www.webmd.com/smoking-cessation/default.htm.

According to doctors, sudden emotional stress are likely to trigger a serious cardiac diseases i.e heart attack ;http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/heart-disease-heart-attacks

Therefore people who have chronic problems need to avoid stress and learn how they can avoid some unavoidable lifetime stress. It is helpful.

2: Obesity – This is the condition of having excess fats in the body which poses a great health risk. It is more dangerous to have excess fats in the belly than in the hips and legs according to health experts. People with stress seems to store fats in the belly unfortunately. Stress causes higher rates of cortisol hormone; http://www.webmd.com/balance/stress-management/stress-management-causes-of-stress

This increases the amount of fat deposits in the abdomen http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/picture-of-the-abdomen

3: Headache – Stress is considered as one of the most common triggers of all types of headache http://www.webmd.com/migraines-headaches/migraine-treatment-14/rm-quiz-migraine-myths

Plus several other conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Depression etc, which I can’t dig deep into right here due to time, we learn with lots of seriousness that stress is very much dangerous for our health. We should keep off from it! See more details of the heart below;http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/ss/slideshow-visual-guide-to-heart-disease

HOW IS EXERCISE HELPS REDUCE THE HEALTH CONDITIONS CAUSED BY STRESS

Depression: Regular exercise probably helps reduce depression in a number of ways:

Diabetes: Diabetes is a general term for a chronic condition where there is too much sugar in the blood. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to serious health complications such as; heart attack, lower limb amputation, vision impairment/blindness. Staying active is very important for persons living with diabetes.

NOTE: No condition is permanent and even the smallest improvement in weight loss is helpful.
