Mother earth

Mother earth

By Faith Atieno Dinda

Beaten by this world full of disease in
This is not the world we had in mind
And even though we might loose today
We can’t find the answers to our questions
The skyline reminds us of a different time
And so if you don’t know how to fix it please stop breaking it

Am here to speak for all generations to come
We are fighting for our future
We are afraid to breathe the air
Now we hear of plants and animals going instinct everyday , leaving forever
All this is happening before our eyes and yet we act as if we have all the time for a solution
And so if you don’t know how to fix it please stop breaking it.

We’re going under and I fear this time there’s no one to save us
When will we get it right? We’ve lost control again
We are scared to be lonely but remember seasons come and go
We have fought so hard and we’ve been dragged down
We are all broken but we know we will get over it
And so if you don’t know how to fix it stop breaking it!
