How We Teach

The Case Teaching Approach

At Writers Guild Kenya, we teach through a case-based approach that brings learning to life. Our classrooms are built around real-world cases drawn from work, society, and everyday professional dilemmas. Learners actively analyse situations, debate choices, test ideas, and learn from one another in highly interactive, discussion-led sessions. This approach moves learning beyond theory, igniting creativity, strengthening judgement, and building the practical skills needed to navigate complexity in today’s world of work and life.

Our Learning Approach

Inspired by the Socratic Method

Our learning philosophy is inspired by the Socratic Method—a time-tested approach that places curiosity at the centre of learning. Rather than simply delivering answers, we ask thoughtful questions that challenge assumptions, deepen reflection, and encourage learners to think for themselves. Through dialogue, inquiry, and guided discovery, learners develop clarity of thought, confidence of expression, and ethical judgement. This approach nurtures lifelong learners who are adaptable, reflective, and prepared to engage meaningfully with change.
